Monica Lopera is a celebrated Colombian-American actress with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in film, television, and theatre. Born in Miami and raised in Bogotá, she established herself as a leading talent in Colombia with starring roles in iconic productions such as En los tacones de Eva and the box-office hit Loco Por Vos (2020), which solidified her status as a household name.

Since relocating to London, Monica has successfully transitioned into the international market, showcasing her versatility across drama and animation. She gained global recognition for her performance in the BBC’s BAFTA-winning thriller Killing Eve and recently starred in the high-profile Netflix production The Hijacking of Flight 601 (2024). Expanding her narrative expertise beyond performance, she recently earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Arts and Humanities (Creative Writing) from The Open University.

Beyond her screen work, Monica is a passionate advocate for cross-cultural artistic collaboration, serving as a vital bridge between Latin American talent and the European entertainment industry. As a key member of the festival organization, she leverages her extensive professional network and media influence to drive strategic partnerships, champion the visibility of Colombian cinema, and connect international sponsors with the vibrancy of Latin American storytelling.
